Kiran Achen

Chief Information and Digital Officer

Kiran Achen is the chief information and digital officer at Delta Dental of Missouri, which also does business in South Carolina as Delta Dental of South Carolina. He joined the organization in 2023, and currently directs the company’s information technology functions with a focus on digital transformation and driving operational efficiencies.

Mr. Achen has more than 23 years of IT experience in the insurance industry. He previously served as chief information officer at Tokio Marine Highland in Chicago, where he directed all IT functions and delivered technology and infrastructure solutions. Prior to that role, he served in various ascending leadership positions at CNA Insurance, where he led application development, enterprise architecture and digital strategy.

Mr. Achen earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business, a Master of Science degree in computer science from Northern Illinois University, a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Osmania University and has completed advanced technical and cross-functional business training curriculum. He holds many awards and honors, including the 2021 Chicago CIO of the Year ORBIE Award and the CNA Insurance Chairman’s CARE Award.
