Cipriano Mascote

Chief Actuarial Officer

Cipriano Mascote is the chief actuarial officer at Delta Dental of Missouri, which also does business in South Carolina as Delta Dental of South Carolina. He joined the organization in 2009, and currently directs the company’s actuarial, analytics and underwriting teams.

During his tenure at the company, Mr. Mascote earned promotions to various leadership positions, including as director of actuarial, analytics and underwriting, before being named to his current role.

He has more than 14 years of experience in the dental and vision benefits industry, which includes previously serving as chair of the Delta Dental Plans Association Industry Research Advisory Committee and currently as a member of its Business Strategy Council.

Mr. Mascote is a Fellow of the Society of Actuaries and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in mathematics from Southern Illinois University, and holds a Predictive Analytics Certificate from the Society of Actuaries and an Advanced Management Certificate from Washington University.
